This role requires you to work onsite from Bogotá, Colombia (Salitre area).


EA is looking to fill a QA Lead Tester role for the FC team. The Lead Tester position will work with us operationally on our quality assurance processes and help strengthen software testing best practices for our teams. You will help us operationalize quality plans for FC QA and will report to a QA Development Manager, while partnering directly with Producers or Software Engineers to delivery expected results for multiple testing plans.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily operational scrums and meetings, while building working relationships with members of the FC QA Design teams, alongside partners in Production and Software Development.

  • Ensure higher quality software testing results are achieved (black box, white box, grey box) though proper test planning, execution and reporting.

  • Ensure proper defects/bugs handing, including providing feedback on features to improve the quality of the game for our players.

  • Participate in end-to-end review of quality strategies and test plans for your assigned area; including test estimation and modifications; and support automation opportunities identification.

  • Use data (both internal and external) to guide a data-focused, predictable verification strategy.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of applicable work experience in a QA testing (Intermediate knowledge on test preparation, execution. reporting, and bugs/issues/defect handling)

  • (Content) Someone who can bring experience with EA Sports FC (title), including Ultimate Team mode; and soccer/football in general, with a player first mentality.

  • (Tools) Someone who has been trained in the concepts of coding, programming, SDLC, or has been exposed to similar technical work.

  • Can work with us on an individual basis or in an embedded/integrated working-team setup; and coordinate and communicate with team members all over the world.

  • Can provide analysis based on test results/data available for the team, and have a working knowledge of test metrics/KPIs/OKRs.

  • Someone who has experience with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail/Qmetry, and automation tools such as Cypress/Selenium/Playwright.

  • Proficient in written/verbal English, as well standard business productivity software.
