Battlefield QV

We are Battlefield Quality Verification (QV), an integral part of Electronic Arts, known for delivering the

About the Role: The Quality Designer position will require you to improve the existing test methodology identifying new capabilities. You will oversee the entire quality plan for Performance and Stability and will report to the Software Quality Recon (SQR) Development Manager and partner directly with the Producer and/or other Designers to establish quality standards and provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback on new features.

Your Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy and Test Planning: 

  • Identify and implement improvements in workflows, tools, and iteration processes

Quality and Data Analysis

  • Collect Performance Data through playtesting and synthetic means.
  • Support the collection of stability and performance data from playtests.
  • Analyze the Performance and Stability data through reporting, using established KPIs and dashboards.
  • Observe and debug automated test execution workflows, ensuring that quality data is actively generated from the test farm.
  • Contribute to the implementation of test automation features and scripts.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collect requests from our NA stakeholders within the Performance and Stability domains and ensure they get processed by the team.
  • Provide technical, quantitative, and qualitative feedback

Our Requirements 

  • Experience and Knowledge:
  • 2+ Years games or software development QV experience.
  • An understanding of programming concepts, multiplayer games architecture, and scripting.
  • Understanding of software development processes, build systems & pipelines.
  • Experience with game rendering, performance, and memory requirements
  • Experience with automated testing services, systems and methodologies for automated software testing.

Skills and Abilities    

  • Experience with bug and test case management systems (JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail, etc…)
  • Proficient with productivity software (MS 365 Copilot, Google Workspace)
  • Plus: experience with visual programing (e.g., Unreal blueprints)
  • Plus: experience with game performance and stability analysis

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
    • $82,500 - $122,900 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
