As a Senior Telemetry Lead at EA Bogotá (onsite in Bogota), reporting to the Development Director, you will lead telemetry strategy and data frameworks across Apex Legends. You'll use AI and Machine Learning to transform data into applicable quality insights. Partnering with QV, Development, and LiveOps, you'll guide data-driven decisions and build scalable, intelligent quality systems.

Your Responsibilities

Automation Strategy and Implementation

  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of telemetry methodology, ensuring data standards and instrumentation practices are reliable and scalable across teams.

  • Lead the integration of telemetry into the SDLC, ensuring early quality insights and validation.

  • Partner with QV, Dev, and Data teams to identify gaps, align telemetry coverage, and ensure data reliability.

  • Guide the use of AI/ML models to detect anomalies, predict defects, and create applicable insights from telemetry data.

Quality and Data Analysis

  • Compile and interpret data from multiple sources into cohesive summaries that communicate quality status, trends, and risk.

  • Use telemetry-driven insights to prioritize testing, focus on high-impact areas, and improve product quality outcomes.

  • Implement predictive analytics to identify quality risks early and promote defect prevention at source.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Be a communication bridge between QV, Development, and Data teams.

  • Partner with the DnA team to align on data logic, instrumentation standards, and pipeline frameworks, ensuring consistency between quality telemetry and broader data strategy.

  • Translate complex telemetry data into meaningful insights for non-technical team members.

  • Represent the QV perspective in meetings, ensuring data-driven quality standards are integrated throughout the development process.

Mentorship and Team Support

  • Lead improvements and knowledge sharing across multiple teams

  • Mentor and support team members in implementing quality strategies and professional growth

Our Requirements

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in telemetry, data analytics, or quality technology leadership, leading data strategy at scale.

  • Experience building, evolving, and maintaining telemetry frameworks supporting quality and product insight.

  • Experience defining and implementing data instrumentation standards and telemetry pipelines in live or large-scale products.

  • Background in data analysis, automation, or AI/ML to allow predictive and prescriptive quality insights.

  • Communicate complex data outcomes through clear dashboards, measurements, and storytelling.

  • Experience mentoring others to develop technical and analytical skills.

  • Understanding of game development lifecycles, system architecture, and risk-based quality approaches.

          Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or equivalent visualization tools

  • Experience with CI/CD integration for telemetry pipelines

  • Background in live-service game quality, player behavior analytics, or crash/stability data

  • Experience collaborating with development, QV, and data engineering teams to enhance product visibility and stability.
