Our CFO organization drives business insights and solutions to enhance player experiences worldwide while promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment where you can succeed.

As part of EA’s European Controllership Team, the Senior Accountant II will contribute to consolidation, reporting, technical accounting, and compliance for our international headquarter. You will report to the European Consolidation and Technical Reporting Manager, and will be based in Lyon at a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

EU Close, Consolidation, and Reporting

  • Be a primary contact for European teams to monitor close progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Prepare monthly European Balance Sheet packs and report to the Corporate Controllership team in North America.
  • Contribute to European disclosures for quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) reporting.

Compliance and Internal Controls

  • Oversee Internal Control Systems (ICS) documentation and perform effectiveness testing.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and corporate tax provisions for Swiss entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist internal audit processes.

Technical Accounting

  • Address technical accounting issues and develop detailed accounting memos to document decisions.
  • Support contract reviews and ensure accurate accounting assessments.

FX, Project Management, and Collaboration

  • Participate in projects to improve financial processes, sharing expertise with the team.
  • Prepare forecasts, analyses, and entries for hedging and foreign exchange transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA/ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of financial accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience with Power BI, Oracle R12 and Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
