 Overview

 We are looking for a Project Art Director to collaborate with our creative team to design world-class gameplay experiences. You will leverage your expertise in AAA game development to lead product development from concept to live service.

 As the Art Director for our project, you will be the visionary force behind the visual elements of the game, ensuring an immersive and cohesive aesthetic that aligns with the creative director's vision. This senior leadership role involves overseeing the entire art department, guiding a talented team of artists, and collaborating closely with other departments to bring the game's world to life.

 You will report to the Creative Director and collaborates with various departmental heads to ensure the artistic vision is integrated across all game elements. You will also meaningfully contribute to hiring and building teams of accomplished artists.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Imagine and communicate your vision to the team to develop the visuals of a game that the audience will love to experience
  • Help push the visual envelope and enhance the experience by creating worlds that are stunning and fun to play in
  • Mentor and direct a world class team of artists; delivering feedback across all art disciplines - concept art, world, modeling, animation, vfx etc
  • Support and encourage a mindset of diversity and inclusion not just in the workplace, but in the content we create
  • Determine the production priorities, high-level schedule and eventual scope adjustments with the Producers and other senior partners to ensure the game is completed on time and within budget
  • Interpret the needs of all development disciplines such as design and engineering into amazing final art
  • Lead the creation and iteration of unique and stunning designs within a determined production schedule
  • Represent the project in executive meetings, gate reviews and on a franchise level
  • Collaborate with the Product and franchise teams on themes and cosmetic
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Brand on positioning
  • Collaborate with studio management on strategic decisions




Requirements:
  • Multiple years of experience as art director in a game studio, with shipped titles ideally from the AAA space
  • In-depth understanding of the game development process and art disciplines including Concept art, 2D, 3D, UI, animation and lighting and vfx
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills & experience with effective feedback for internal and external partners
  • Familiarity with developing games from existing intellectual properties
  • The ability to identify, adapt to and innovate styles and techniques
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and support a large number of artists toward a singular vision
  • Highly collaborative nature to partner with other art directors and other discipline leads
