Reporting to the Environment Art Director and working with our Lead Environment Artists, you will help create world-class game environments that feel immersive, grounded, and built for great gameplay. You'll collaborate with Level Designers and Environment Artists across the project to push quality, strengthen the craft, and shape how our worlds look and play.

What you'll do:

  • Help shape the visual direction of levels, working with Art Directors and Leads to bring our environments to life.
  • Partner with Level Designers to create playable, engaging and well-composed spaces from blockout through to final quality.
  • Set the quality bar by creating benchmark areas and set dressing dressing examples.
  • Collaborate with Environment Artists, Lighting, VFX, Cinematics, and Technical Art to deliver cohesive, high-quality worlds.
  • Use world-class terrain tools, world-building workflows, and set dressing techniques to build believable, engaging environments.
  • Help evolve level art workflows and best practices to improve quality, efficiency and consistency.
  • Work with Technical Art to balance visual fidelity and performance across platforms.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to teammates, helping raise the quality of the team's work.
  • Collaborate with content artists and level leads to develop asset lists, gather references, and prepare asset briefs for outsourcing.
  • Stay curious - exploring new techniques and approaches that push the level art craft forward.

Who you are:

  • A senior-level environment or level artist with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual quality and composition skills.
  • 5+ years of experience creating high-quality levels for shipped AAA titles.
  • An artist who is comfortable taking the lead on levels through all phases of production.
  • An artist with good experience of world-building workflows, including advanced terrain systems, material creation, modular kits, set dressing, and photogrammetry pipelines.
  • Someone who is experienced and enjoys collaborating with Design, Art, and Technical teams while helping improve for the whole group.
