If you're looking for a team that combines the agility of a startup with the impact of a global AAA, then we're looking for you.

Our team within Creative Innovation pioneers the use of cloud and machine learning technologies in our toolchains to empower content creators to create compelling games. You will be a senior member of this team, reporting to its Technical Director. This role is hybrid remote/in-office and you will work from either our Vancouver or Montreal offices.

  • Drive Foundational Innovation: Drive the research, prototyping, and adoption of pioneering technologies that innovate our creative capabilities, often in collaboration with external partners and industry leaders, and as part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.

  • Optimize Creator Workflows: Implement and scale foundational tooling and pipeline solutions that measurably improve the speed, efficiency, and quality of content creation for our game teams.

  • Establish Technical Standards: contribute to the definition of engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality bars for the entire department.

  • Mentor Technical Team: Act as a force multiplier by mentoring other senior engineers across the organization, elevating the studio's overall technical capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science or other relevant Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant professional experience in full stack engineering or tools development.

  • Proven industry experience architecting and delivering large-scale, complex technology solutions that have had a multi-team or studio-wide impact.

  • Expert proficiency in a modern programming language like Python or C# and deep expertise in designing resilient, cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) and APIs (REST, GraphQL).

  • A track record of defining and deploying studio-wide test and quality strategies, driving a culture of high-quality software development using automated testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Playwright, mocha, or similar).

  • A deep sense of empathy for your users, with experience translating the needs of creative and business leaders into the implementation of a long-term technical vision.

  • Can turn ambiguous project goals into applicable plans by identifying risks, communicating trade-offs, and building agreement around solutions designed for change.
