Game Production Solutions is a new division in Creative Technologies at Electronic Arts. In the Game Production Solutions group we build solutions for our customers (Game Teams / Creators). We empower game creators to make an outsized impact with our technology.
We are working on projects related to generative AI and Machine Learning, focused on Generative AI for game assets.
The platform we are building is to power Generative AI for game creators across EA. We are using powerful models fine-tuned and adapted for asset creation, where performance, ease of use, and security are priorities.
You will design/architect and build services and cloud infrastructure supporting Generative AI and ML projects. You will report into the Sr. Technical Director overseeing this department, and you will be a senior technologist in the team.

You enjoy being a hands-on contributor, in both architecture / design and implementation.
You have a background in the architecture / design and implementation of scalable backend services, and experience working with cloud infrastructure.
Solution Architecture: You will work with engineers in the team to architect backend services to power our generative AI / ML platform, and you will be accountable for the performance / scalability and security of the architecture. You will also document technical specifications and system designs for future reference.
Coding and Debugging: You will write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code that follows best practices. You will also troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth functioning of all of the services.
Partnerships and Collaboration: You will collaborate with Product Managers, Tech Artists, and DevOps/MLOps engineers to identify requirements.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship: You will provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, promoting an environment of learning and improvement. You will create and share best practices for coding scalable and secure backend services within the team, and you will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Broad Technical Understanding: You will build an understanding of EA's game technologies, engines, and strategies.
8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
Experience architecting and coding backend / online services.
Experience working with cloud infrastructure (one of AWS, Azure, or Google.)
Experience working with relational (one of MySQL, Oracle, or similar) and non-relational data stores (one of Mongo, Dynamo, or similar).
Experience working with containers (like Docker / similar) and fabrics (like Kubernetes / similar.)
Proficiency in at least one backend / online service programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Go, Scala, or similar) and an ability to pickup / learn new programming languages.
Experience integrating / working with GenAI and LLMs (e.g. GPT, Gemini, or similar.)
Experience integrating / working with MLOps pipelines and products.
Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment.
Willing to travel to meet with team members and partners in person.
Bachelor's degree in one of Computer Science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience.

Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
