The Tools and Technology Team within Fusion is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality. We partner with a global group of extraordinary creatives fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating amazing content and experiences.
The Challenge Ahead:
As a Senior Technical Artist, you will work alongside our Worlds Team with the support of a Product Owner and Technical Director. You will be working on designing, developing, extending, and supporting custom tools for a variety of content creation workflows. You will also support a variety of EA's crucial content tools with the support of an amazing development team. You will report to a Development Director.
Day to day you will ...
- Work with partners (i.e. artists and engineers) to develop user-friendly tools, efficient pipelines, and optimal workflows that aid in the development and iteration of game content.
- Gather user requirements, design, implement, debug, test, and maintain quality code.
You are/you have…
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Fine Art, or Science, or equivalent training and professional experience
- Strong Experience with Houdini, Maya, Python, and familiarity with game engines (Unreal, Frostbite, Unity, etc.).
- 8+ years of experience with developing content creation tools and/or workflows.
- Experience with procedural content creation.
- Experience working on a project in collaboration with a variety of roles including game teams, artists, engineers, Technical Directors and Art Directors.
- Excited to learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions.
- Experience working with both artists and engineers and understanding the gap between both disciplines.
- Act as a proficient and confident communicator and negotiator, bridging the gap between stakeholders and developers to ensure seamless collaboration and project success

- Experience with UI development.
- Experience using USD based workflows.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Ceci ne s’applique pas au Québec. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $107,600 - $147,100 CAD
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
