AI/ML Engineer
Join us for an opportunity to work with leading game development teams. We are trying to find an AI/ML Engineer to join our tools development and automation team, supporting Maxis studio
Role Overview:
As an AI/ML Engineer, you will collaborate with Quality Assurance and Game Development teams to develop tools and strategies that enhance automation infrastructure and increase efficiency in game development and QA processes. You will report to our Technical Director and work with diverse teams to develop AI and ML solutions that address challenges in content creation, agent behaviour, and automation.
Responsibilities:
Develop AI, ML solutions, automation frameworks, tools, engine components, and processes used across studios.
Use modern software engineering practices for requirements, design, implementation, and testing.
Collaborate with all disciplines to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Improve processes and best practices to achieve team targets.
Design, author, test, and deploy automated tests for all scenarios.
Propose and develop novel ML solutions for content creation, agent behaviour, and automation.
Design ML solutions considering game development requirements with minimal human intervention and low runtime complexity.
Stay updated with academic and industry developments in ML (Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Diffusion models).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in a development role using C/C++ and familiarity with Python.
Hands-on experience with Machine Learning tools like PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, and LLM APIs.
Experience with Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Diffusion models.
Experience with DevOps tools and principles (Git, Perforce, CI/CD, Docker).
Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
