As the Partner Experience team, our objective is to deliver an excellent experience for our game team partners across all the Frostbite engine touchpoints. As an experienced software engineer, you will collaborate with hundreds of world-class engineers and artists across EA to push the boundaries of performance, efficiency, and visual quality of future EA games.

Responsibilities 


  • You will add more diagnostic telemetry to the Frostbite Editor to monitor statistics such as average scene render time, spikes in memory usage and render time

  • You will develop, debug, and test solutions for issues encountered by the EA's games in their usage of the Frostbite engine

  • You will work closely with Frostbite senior developers to understand project requirements and provide support in tool design and functionality

  • You will engage in code reviews, learn best practices from experienced developers, and contribute to code quality.

  • You will collaborate with Frostbite’s senior developers and cross-functional domain teams to improve workflows and processes.

  • You will help enhance documentation for developed tools, including user guides and processes and help build the Partner Experience team culture.

  • You will be a hands-on engineer, spending the majority of your time coding and the rest improving processes and tools.



Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficient understanding of software development processes and associated technologies.

  • Experience and interest in C# and C++ 


Nice to have: 

  • Experience in AAA development environment

  • Familiarity with Perforce

  • A strong interest in game development and tool development, as well as experience with game engines

  • Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, AWS


We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2025, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2025. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full time basis during the 8 month internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $65,000 - $70,000 CAD

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
