DRE are EA's global automation specialists. We are a team of more than 100 colleagues based in EA studios across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. We work with our internal partners (EA game studios) and support them by providing services related to Build & Test Automation, Continuous Integration, Metrics Reporting, and Virtual Infrastructure.

You would join the Development and Release Engineering team (DRE) as a Software Engineer focusing on build support. You will work with Maxis teams globally, assisting with build and release automation, configuration management, and system maintenance. You will report to the Development Director for the DRE Sims Support team.

This is a hybrid model role. We require you to work in our Guildford office 3 days per week. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with game teams globally to ensure automation meets reliability requirements

  • Maintain system health across multiple repositories

  • Provide troubleshooting support for automation infrastructure

  • Report regular status on assigned tasks and failure incidents for subsequent teams in another time zone to continue troubleshooting

  • Document issues and solutions to help team members to improve processes and apply the solutions across a variety of different environments


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in software development

  • 3+ years of experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform and Docker)

  • Experience with build orchestration (e.g. Jenkins, Pipeline, and CI/CD in general)

  • Familiarity with Perforce and Git

  • Wide variety of debugging strategies

  • Experience with Python and other scripting languages

  • Experience with distributed systems
