Technical Artist 1 - Rigging ( EA Create : Rigging )

EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio and technology to life. Our teams consist of artists, engineers, technicians, designers and development directors. Worldwide, we combine our teams to form a global group of extraordinary individuals fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating amazing visuals, sound and experiences. Rigging

EA Create Rigging, the versatile team mostly based between Vancouver, Canada, and Orlando, Florida is best known for creating amazing work in titles such as Football Club, Madden, UFC, Plants Versus Zombies, Apex Legends, Dead Space, and Battlefield to name a few; and we're looking to expand our team for upcoming titles.

Technical Artist 1 - Rigging

A Rigging Artist works on a specific project under the direction of a Rigging Lead and Development Director to ensure assets requests are completed to the quality level of the project. Your tasks can include skeleton creation, skinning, control rigging, cloth/hair simulation, and scripting.

Responsibilities:

  • Rigging and Skinning

  • Asset maintenance

  • Script development

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience

  • Background in rigging and skinning complex assets

  • Expertise in Maya

  • Python Scripting Experience

  • Knowledge of animation principles and human anatomy

Bonus:

  • Shipped Game Title or VFX / Feature Animation

  • Game Engine Experience (Commercial or Proprietary)

  • Character Simulation Experience

  • 3D Math Experience

  • Houdini Experience

  • Motion Capture Familiarity

  • Knowledge of C++

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$75,900 - $105,600 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
