Join us for an opportunity to work with the best game development teams in the world. We are looking for a Technical Director to join the Quality Engineering team working to support the new Iron Man title being developed at Motive.

As a Technical Director, you'll guide automation strategies and tooling solutions that ensure software excellence and helping us define the next level of game quality. You will lead a team of quality engineers as they implement scalable solutions that enhance our testing workflows.


You will be reporting to the Director of Engineering, Software Quality. Hybrid and Remote work options are available across our locations in Canada.


Responsibilities:

· You will partner with QE and Game Franchise leadership to define strategic goals and milestones, establish best practices, and ensure technical solutions are cost-effective and meet customer expectations.

· You will lead your team as they provide technical solutions that sets the team up for low liabilities but highest throughput of delivery. This should include considerations of cloud and industry standard functional/non-functional design principles.

· You will define the roadmap for the team to achieve opportunities identified by working with partners across EA studios worldwide.

· You will set the standards and provide technical oversight and direction for the team ensuring adherence to established code quality best practices.

· You will be a consultant to partners to guide collaboration and gain agreement on strategies at the component, sub-system, system level and services.

· You will contribute to technical architecture and design documents for small/medium/large sized features.

· You will oversee internal and external project dependencies and risks and critical paths, recommend solutions and approve plans and timelines with consideration for the impact on all partners.

· You will use your project management skills to prioritise technology projects, track dependencies between technical components, manage technical debt, establish technical milestones that align with the broader title goals.

· You will mentor team members, guiding their professional growth and technical proficiency.


Qualifications:

· 10+ years' experience with C#, .NET Web development experience, C++ or a similar language.

· Experience developing quality verification tools, test automation solutions, and development process improvements.

· Experience designing scalable, distributed, and high-performance software systems.

· Background working in agile environments to provide technical solutions.

· Experience collaborating with global, distributed teams.

· Shipped at least one AAA game title in a technical role.
