Role Overview

We are looking for a UX Intern who is passionate about games, design, and delivering world-class player experiences. As a UX Intern at EA, you’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences across our games and platforms. This internship will give you exposure to the end-to-end design process in the gaming industry, from research and ideation to prototyping and usability testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support UX designers in creating wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes for features across EA titles and platforms.
  • Assist in conducting user research, playtests, and usability studies to gather insights into player behavior and needs.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Game Design, UI Art, Engineering, Product) to ensure a cohesive and consistent player experience.
  • Explore innovative UX solutions tailored to gaming experiences, balancing usability, accessibility, and fun.
  • Document and present design concepts, player insights, and recommendations to the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interest in UX design within games and familiarity with game design principles.
  • Basic understanding of the design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of user research methodologies (surveys, interviews, playtesting).
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • A player-first mindset with the ability to think critically about gameplay experiences.
  • Portfolio (academic or personal projects) that demonstrates design thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Passion for gaming and knowledge of EA’s portfolio.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX in mobile.
  • Experience working with Unity game engine.
