The EA Localization team is accountable for delivering high-quality localized versions of EA games. You will work on a wide variety of tools and systems used for the localization of games, web titles, marketing materials, etc. These systems include modules for Business & Project Management, workflow automation, CRM, text, audio, image, and video asset management, and the distribution of those assets to/from our vendors and external partners.

The Challenge Ahead

The Video Editor is accountable for producing the local versions of video assets created for EA marketing campaigns and TV/Cinema commercials.

As a Video Editor, you will:

  • Support production management tasks, assisting with scheduling, resource tracking, and project coordination.

  • Adapt videos, trailers, and commercials for all EA titles by setting up projects, applying translations, and managing localized audio.

  • Track project updates throughout the localization cycle, upload content to various channels, and participate in the approval process.

  • Manage amendments, reporting status updates, and rendering processes, while estimating delivery times and providing risk management.

  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail throughout the end-to-end localization process, maintaining constant communication with lead editors and account managers.

  • Edit video content while maintaining high-quality editing standards.

  • Enhance and adapt visual static assets through graphic design.

  • Keep up-to-date with relevant tools and technologies, as well as internal procedures and practices within the European Localization and Marketing teams. Create, share best practices, and learn from other teams within EA.

  • Ideally perform or assist in video capturing tasks.

Competencies:

  • 5 years of experience working in video production environments with tight deadlines.
  • Degree in Post-Production, Motion Design, or equivalent proven experience.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience communicating with virtual teams across multiple departments and geographical locations.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organization.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Background in production or project management support tasks.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Knowledge or experience in video capturing is desirable but not required.
  • Problem solver, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
