This is an opportunity to join a team to help promote quality across Frostbite and EA, reporting to the Frostbite Quality Development Manager.
Note that Quality Designers may also be called Quality Analysts, Quality Specialists, Quality Assurance Leads, or Test Leads.

As an Associate Quality Designer for Frostbite, you will identify, report on, and achieve quality targets for the Audio domain within the game engine. You will work with other quality professionals to help determine quality standards and achieve quality goals across our many groups.
Responsibilities
You will foster relationships with development partners and support them.
And collate and track metrics. Analyze and use data to make informed decisions.
Find opportunities to improve the quality of processes and workflows.
Investigate problems, reproduce bugs and contribute to its resolution.
You will create test plans and milestones, and test to completion
Required Skills and Experience
Understanding of software development processes and SDLC (Agile preferred).
Familiarity with any source control, debuggers, and other software development tools (e.g. Perforce, Visual Studio).
1 or more years of QA software testing and test planning in game engine
1 or more years of Sound design or audio implementation experience in Games or Film or Music
Bonus
Experience with game engines, content & asset editors, and shared technologies.(e.g. Wwise, Fmod, Pro Tools, Reaper, Nuendo, Unreal, Unity, Sound Forge)
Experience with game pipelines Familiarity with development planning tools and defect tracking tools (e.g. Hansoft, JIRA, DevTrack, Qmetry).
Experience with console hardware, testing and updating
Experience with 3d audio: Dolby Atmos, 7.1.4 Speaker Setups, and 3d audio for headphones
Experience with Audio hardware - synthesizers, plug-ins, and DSP used in music production
Familiarity with basic Computer Science terminology and visual programming
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $63,400 - $86,500 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
