EA SPORTS Security team is seeking a Quality Analyst II in our Bucharest location. This role is integral to ensuring the security of our games by working with development teams and addressing security incidents. You have a background in Quality Verification and an interest in video game security.
As a Quality Analyst II, you will execute security testing, document defects and observations, and assist with data analysis to support quality and risk identification within assigned areas. You will contribute to test documentation, support ongoing quality initiatives, and present findings to multiple audiences. Reporting to the SPORTS Security Quality Verification Lead, the Quality Analyst II will work with several SPORTS Security teams.
Responsibilities:
Establish working relationships across the SPORTS Security Team.
Create, execute, and maintain test cases and verification points using established structures and standards.
Apply established testing tactics and procedures while remaining aware of the broader quality strategy.
Assist with test planning and estimation for features with limited scope, risk, or complexity.
Update test documentation throughout the project lifecycle and communicate changes that may impact testing activities.
Document defects, observations, and test results clearly using approved defect-tracking and reporting tools.
Use available tools to support test execution, data capture, and result analysis.
Support Quality Designers or senior team members by researching features, technical details, or validation approaches as needed.
Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest refinements or basic automation opportunities within assigned areas.
Provide regular status updates on progress, risks, and blockers to Quality Designers, leads, or managers.
Required Skills and Experience:
2+ years of applicable work experience.
A passion for games with a player first mentality.
Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Experience working in an embedded, integrated product team.
Interest in penetration testing and understanding cheating software and tools.
Working knowledge of software/game development lifecycles, including agile and waterfall methodologies.
Defect and Task tracking tool experience (JIRA, DevTrack, TestRail, or Hansoft).
Nice-To-Haves:
1+ years of experience with video game Game Security.
Knowledge in security feature backend and verification methodology for cheating and detection scenarios.
Work experience with medium-to-large-scale teams and distributed peers.
