As a Senior Technical Artist, you will be the bridge between our content creators and our game technology. You will be pushing the visual quality through creative solutions, tools that improve our pipelines, in engine problem solving and performance profiling.
Work task examples:
Build new or maintain existing project art pipelines and workflows.
Brainstorm, R&D, and implement various project pipelines and toolsets.
Support in content creation when needed.
Diagnose problems related to level creation and support the world team.
Work with artists to identify and solve technical problems with existing tools
Skills We Look For:
Solid knowledge and experience with common scripting languages like Python and C#
Experience in building and designing artist interfacing content tools and pipelines
Experience with procedural content creation software like Houdini, Substance Suite etc.
Experience with interfacing with common 3d party DCC APIs (for example Substance Automation Toolkit, pymel etc)
Previous game engine experience (Unity, Unreal)
Extensive previous game production experience
Self-motivated, structured, proactive, and detailed oriented
Relentless problem solver
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $119,600 - $167,300 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
