We are looking for a UI Artist - Capture like you to create stunning photo and video materials for Battlefield. You will help introduce the world to the next entry in our franchise through eye-catching photographs of moments only possible in Battlefield. Photo and video assets created by our UI Artist - Capture will live both in-game and marketing materials. You will report to our Line Director, Art. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options within the Vancouver area to apply.
What You'll Do:
- Create screenshots in debug game build and in Frostbite.
- Create lighting gyms in-engine to accelerate image creation pipeline.
- Explore new ways to photograph game content.
- Implement feedback from creative leads and partnering teams.
- Organize, archive, and back up assets.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with development software and hardware.
- Create & maintain onboarding documentation for the craft, tracking best practices, current workflows, and bottlenecks.
What We Are Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience with composition, lighting, and color theory.
- Working knowledge of cameras and terminology (exposure triangle, depth of cameras and terminology (exposure triangle, depth of field, raw processing, bracketing and compositing).
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine, Unity, or Blender/Cinema4D.
- An appetite for troubleshooting PC software and console hardware.
- Portfolio of relevant photography or artwork.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $73,200 - $101,700 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
