Master’s Thesis Internships – Computer Vision & Machine Learning at EA Sports TRACAB (Stockholm)

EA Sports TRACAB’s Computer Vision and Machine Learning team is offering several exciting master’s thesis projects for 2026. We are a team of 24 researchers and developers based in Stockholm, applying advanced technology to sports analytics. Projects will run from mid-late January to July 2026.

Available Projects

  • Human Mesh Recovery in Crowded Situations: Advance state-of-the-art human mesh recovery using multi-view sports footage, focusing on challenging crowded scenarios.
  • Event Detection: Develop automated event detection models for football by aligning and utilizing player, ball, and event tracking data.
  • Football Pitch Localization: Build a machine learning system to accurately detect and localize football pitch features in video footage.
  • Creating a New SMPL Model Using Synthetic Data: Design and evaluate a new Skinned Multi-Person Linear (SMPL) model trained on synthetic human mesh data.
  • Football Trajectory Modeling: Model and classify football flight dynamics using high-frequency tracking data.
