The Finance organization at EA is reimagining how process excellence enables transformation across Finance. As part of this journey, the Finance Transformation team is building a capability that combines process design, technology adoption, and continuous improvement to simplify how Finance operates and create capacity for innovation.

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support the mapping, analysis, and redesign of Finance processes as part of EA’s enterprise-wide transformation. This role will collaborate closely with the Finance Transformation Program Lead and cross-functional partners to document end-to-end processes, identify pain points, and support the development of optimized, scalable workflows.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about process improvement, eager to learn re-engineering techniques, and interested in how data, automation, and technology can transform Finance operations.

Responsibilities & Outcomes

Process Documentation & Analysis

  • Partner with process owners and subject matter experts to document current-state Finance processes using standardized templates and tools.
  • Support workshops and interviews to capture process steps, data handoffs, and system touchpoints.
  • Analyze processes for inefficiencies, manual work, and improvement opportunities under guidance from senior facilitators.
  • Maintain a repository of process maps, documentation, and version control across transformation initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Design

  • Assist in identifying quick wins and improvement opportunities based on process data, feedback, and observations.
  • Support re-engineering initiatives to simplify and streamline Finance operations.
  • Contribute to the development of future-state process recommendations, visualizations, and supporting materials.
  • Help document dependencies between Finance, IT, and business partners to support integrated solution design.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Partner with the broader Finance Transformation team to align process documentation with technology and data workstreams.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams globally to ensure process documentation reflects real-world practices and is easy to adopt.
  • Support communication materials and presentations that help share progress and learnings across Finance.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in process improvement, operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of process documentation and analysis methods (e.g., swimlane diagrams, SIPOC, RACI).
  • Experience using process mapping tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Miro, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple inputs across stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or process re-engineering.
  • Experience supporting transformation or technology-enabled change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with automation, AI, or digital finance concepts.
  • Strong interest in operational excellence and continuous learning.

Success Metrics

  • Delivery of accurate, high-quality process maps and documentation that meet transformation standards.
  • Positive feedback from process owners and partners on collaboration and clarity.
  • Contributions to process improvement recommendations that inform roadmap initiatives.
  • Demonstrated growth in facilitation, analytical, and re-engineering skills.

Interview Signals

  • Clear, structured thinker with curiosity about how work gets done.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, collaborative team player who learns quickly and seeks feedback.
  • Passionate about process improvement and enabling transformation through simplicity and standardization.
