Software Engineer (Live Technical Support)

Job Location: You will work in Kuala Lumpur.


Our mission is to maintain the stability of our game and provide a better experience for the game users. As a software engineer, you will be an essential part of our mobile game live operation technical support and be involved in game delivery, live monitoring, live issue investigation and fixing, and the implementation of requirements from our partners. You will report to a lead engineer and have opportunities for training and business traveling.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for mobile game live operation technical support.
  • Help deliver backend services of the game system.
  • Provide technical support and cooperation according to the needs of the internal and external partners.
  • Monitor technical indicators of online games running in different regions and provide daily technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot live issues of game systems and figure out fixed plans and solutions with the necessary help from the dev team.
  • Collaborate with the production live operation, game feature development, DevOps, and QA teams.
  • Help develop some features according to requirements, under the guidance of the lead engineer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
  • 2+ years' experience as a software engineer.
  • Proficiency in Java programming languages.
  • Knowledge about common algorithms and basic data structures
  • Familiarity with Linux platform development.
  • Familiarity with source version control like Perforce or Git.
  • Understanding of network programming and protocols such as HTTP and WebSocket.
  • Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Skills in team communication and collaboration and keenness in learning.
