Role Overview
Join us at Electronic Arts, where you will help inspire the world to play as part of DICE's multiplayer team. You will guide the implementation quality, stability, and scalability of gameplay systems for the next iteration of Battlefield. Reporting to the Senior Technical Design Director, you will bridge design and engineering, ensuring robust, maintainable features built for iteration and long-term evolution. Responsibilities
• You will own implementation quality and stability for complex multiplayer gameplay systems, ensuring features reach a robust, testable state.
• You will conduct technical design reviews, resolve gameplay bugs and integration issues, and proactively identify systemic risks.
• You will establish best practices and drive technical consistency across interconnected gameplay systems.
• You will support and mentor designers in engine workflows, scripting standards, and debugging practices.
• You will enable fast iteration by validating setups, supporting playtests, and closing the loop on feedback and fixes.
• You will contribute to system tuning and ensure scalable solutions that support long-term player engagement.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional game development experience in a technical design role with ownership of complex multiplayer systems.
• Experience working in game engines and visual scripting tools such as Frostbite, Unreal, or Unity.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and cross-discipline partners to deliver scalable gameplay features.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to anticipate technical risks in interconnected systems.
• Experience mentoring designers and improving implementation standards across multiplayer or large-scale online titles.
