The Motive Battlefield team is looking for a Voice Over Designer. As a Voice Over (VO) Designer, you will play an important role in contributing to our game’s overall sound quality, aesthetics and vision. You will work within our sound team to design and integrate systemic and scripted dialog assets for soldiers and commanders (HQ) in a variety of game modes, gameplay scenarios, and cutscenes.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for video games, a drive to create world-class audio and an ability to bring the best out of their team members and peers.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the VO Audio Director, you’ll create designs for VO behaviors, implement those behaviors in collaboration with other members of the team, and implement the final dialog files as they become available
Use a DAW to edit, name, process and organize voice over sound files
Work with an Audio Lead and be responsible for defining VO playback behaviors within an appointed area of the game
Implement these voices in our proprietary engine via visual scripting
Contribute to VO-adjacent topics like walla and radio chatter
Participate in voice over recording and performance capture sessions
Test and Quality Control of in-game audio assets
Organize and update script documents, design documents, and voice over .wav files
Ask for and act on feedback concerning your work. Also provide and act on feedback within the sound team, with a focus on audio execution
Be structured; estimate your work, update plans, submit good data into the branch
Provide and be responsive to feedback within the sound team
Must Have:
Passion to collaborate and solve complex creative and technical challenges in the pursuit of creating an incredibly engaging sonic experience for our players
You Will Have:
BA, Technical School Degree, or equivalent work experience in Sound Recording Arts.
Prior work experience on a AA or AAA game development team
3+ years of experience with scripted and systemic voice over
Knowledge of \ experience with Performance Capture voice over workflow
3+ years of experience or Knowledge of common voice over microphones, microphone placement, and recording studio setups
Basic knowledge of audio theory and audio editing practices; includes knowledge of waveform editing, equalization, compression, mixing, plug-ins
Proficiency with audio software / DAW, such as Reaper, Nuendo, Pro Tools, Sound Forge, Vegas, Cubase, Logic
Proficiency with audio plug in software such as Waves, FabFilter, iZotope, Soundtoys, etc
Experience or knowledge of audio game development tools, such as Wwise, FMOD, or other proprietary Editors
You must be committed to growing within your craft, and improving your skills as a VO Designer
