The Product Manager's mission, in collaboration with the Development Strategy and Growth team, is to help create the most engaging and rewarding football portfolio experience for our players and fans. The candidate will have a mix of strategic acumen, creative instinct and analytical ability that can help create actionable plans and portfolio strategies that drive key growth for American Football and Tiburon Studios.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Development Strategy and Growth for Tiburons Studios, you will work with Producers, Game Designers, Economists and external stakeholders to further the growth of our American Football portfolio.
Responsibilities
You will work with our leadership teams to evaluate important consumer, technology, and market changes to identify the latest trends and new growth drivers for Tiburon Studios while shaping strategies to increase our growth and profitability as a Studio.
- You will support high-visibility, growth projects through conducting strategic analysis using a hypothesis-driven approach and summarizing conclusions to be presented to internal leaders
- You will assess potential strategic partnerships and investment opportunities for us.
- You will assess our performance in the market in comparison to the other gaming/entertainment studios and franchises, including maintaining a pulse on existing / new competitors and conducting deep-dive competitive assessments
- You will explore competitive and industry dynamics across gaming, tech, media, and entertainment industries and assess drivers to improve our relative position in the marketplace
- You will work closely with the product teams to drive best-practice strategies for growth initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to develop business cases and assess the probable impacts on key portfolio and product metrics.
- Be a source of learning for the studio production and key business functions using your unique background, skills & experience, combined with a mindset of continuous growth.
- Provide insights to prioritize the roadmap and effectively measure risk/reward payouts against cost.
- Develop and implement studio health review cycles that carefully consider internal and external feedback as well as key portfolio metrics to continually improve the studio.
- Drive user and competitive research to identify user segments, highlight consumer needs and portfolio value propositions to maximize market engagement, retention, and LTV.
- Proactively identify and implement optimizations to portfolio experience and core financial performance.
- Be passionate about, and represent the voice and needs of our fans of American Football.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in product management, strategic consulting, or business strategy roles
- 3+ years of experience working in sports, gaming, or technology industry
- Exceptional business acumen and quantitative skills with a focus on data-informed decision making.
- A passion for games, sports, or entertainment with a consumer first mentality.
- Outstanding written, oral, and organizational ability.
- Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff.
- Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment, to thrive at an extremely fast pace and to find creative ways to get things done.
- BA/BS, quantitative or technical degree (math, economics, engineering, or finance), or MBA a plus.
- Highly desirable, but not essential: A passionate football fan with a good understanding of the core mechanics of American football.
