Job Description:

You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced animators and contribute to the creative process of crafting immersive gaming experiences, through motion capture cleanup and implementation in engine.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior animators to clean up motion capture to the requirements needed for a specific area or feature of the game.

  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure that your animations meet all needs of the feature.

  • Participate in animation reviews.

  • You will estimate and scope your work each sprint/milestone with guidance from senior animators.

  • Learn how to implement animation into the engine and how to test it in game.

  • Learn how to debug issues in the game engine.


Your Qualifications:

  • Have experience animating with Maya or Motion Builder.

  • Strong desire to learn and ability to pick up new/proprietary software.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Takes direction and feedback well.


Beneficial Qualifications

  • Have worked with motion capture.

  • Love of sports, especially football.

  • Love of games, all kinds.

  • Experience with writing or editing code.

  • Experience with Slack/Jira/Shotgrid (or similar)

  • Knowledge of state machines, motion matching, or cinematography
