Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Location: Vancouver, Montreal or Edmonton.

WE MAKE FUN...FUNNER.

We are Full Circle, and we're all about having fun and making great games that people want to play with their friends. As the developers of Skate™, we are set to provide an experience that embraces and builds upon everything our community found special about the previous games. We believe in creating an inclusive world inside and outside of our games for our players and our team.

"This position is open to qualified individuals based in Vancouver, Montreal or Edmonton."

We are looking for an experienced Associate UX Director to join the Skate team. You will report to the Head of Experience Design

Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Associate UX Design Director to lead a team of 5-6 UX designers within our Feature Pillar. This role is critical to delivering compelling, high-impact features that improve retention, expand our player base, and enhance long-term engagement.

As both a UX craft and people leader, you'll oversee design development across features that introduce new activity types, evolve UGX (User-Generated Experiences) systems, strengthen social interactions, and support player-first monetization strategies. This is an opportunity to shape experiences that reach a broader set of player motivations while growing a team and design culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead UX strategy and execution across multiple feature areas, balancing quality, usability, and player motivation.

  • Manage, mentor, and support a team of UX designers—providing clear direction, feedback, and career development.

  • Partner with Game Design, UI, Engineering, and Product to create features that appeal to both Legacy and Genre players.

  • Evolve UGX tools to empower creativity and provide meaningful rewards through in-game items and experiences.

  • Enhance social systems to foster stronger in-game connections, communities, and collaboration.

  • Help identify and shape new sustainable revenue opportunities without compromising player trust or experience.

  • Advocate for a player-centric design process grounded in research, feedback, and iteration.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX design (preferably in games or interactive products), including 3+ years in a team leadership role managing designers

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex feature design and a deep understanding of player behavior and motivation.

  • Experience leading and growing teams through live development or multi-release environments.

  • Proficient in social UX, system design, and/or UGC/UGX tool creation.

  • Effective communicator who excels at cross-functional collaboration and strategic thinking.
