In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our future for creators by developing powerful tools to collect, curate, and organize high-quality data that serve as the foundation for training state-of-the-art machine learning models. Your efforts will directly impact the performance, accuracy, and fairness of our technologies. In this role you will report to the Executive Producer.
Location (Hybrid or Remote): Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal)
Responsibilities
The Technical Artist develops pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations used to empower new UGX pipelines.
Reporting into the central UGX team, you will work with a variety of customers across EA to build shared and scalable solutions and pipelines.
Developing and augmenting automation scripts and workflows, asset verification techniques, content management systems, and more.
Provide support and be solutions focused on technical issues that arise.
You can be from an Art, Design, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science background; however, you must demonstrate a comfort level in working with both art and science.
Qualifications
At least 3+ years of production experience in either film, VFX or games.
Effective at communicating with different audiences: artists, engineers, and managers.
Proficient scripting/programming in Python. (C++ is a bonus, but is not required).
Experience with 2D/3D art packages such as Maya, Photoshop, and Houdini.
Hands-on experience with testing and debugging technical issues.
Experience with asset management, scripting, and automation is preferred.
A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems to resolve technical challenges and limitations.
