Decision Scientist II

Office of the CXO

The Office of the CXO drives effectiveness across the EA Experiences organization with a focus on excellence in business operations, comprehensive fan intelligence, plus internal technology and business solutions. We are horizontal connectors empowering teams across the Experiences organization with the strategic prioritization, investments, resources, data, insights, and technology required to accelerate business outcomes.


Your Impact

You will lead high-impact analytical initiatives that influence strategy across the Experiences organization. By combining advanced analytics, experimentation, and AI with business expertise, you'll guide strategic decisions, improve fan experiences, and elevate analytical practices across the team.


Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end analytical initiatives across multiple business domains.
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models that support strategic decision-making.
  • Design experimentation frameworks and evaluate business impact.
  • Select analytical approaches for complex and ambiguous business problems.
  • Influence cross-functional partners and senior leaders through data-driven recommendations.
  • Establish best practices for experimentation, model validation, and responsible AI.
  • Mentor Decision Scientists through technical guidance, collaboration, and code reviews.


Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Advanced experience using Python or R for statistical modeling.
  • Experience with SQL, relational and distributed databases.
  • Experience using visualization tools such as Tableau, Streamlit, or RShiny.
  • Experience presenting analytical insights to executive audiences.


Core Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years applying advanced analytics in a business environment.
  • Experience leading complex analytical initiatives from discovery through implementation.
  • Experience selecting analytical approaches for ambiguous business challenges.
  • Experience influencing business strategy through data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience mentoring peers and promoting analytical best practices.
  • Experience designing experimentation frameworks and evaluating business impact.

Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$122,300 - $170,700 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
