The Frostbite Workflow Quality Team

The Workflow Quality team within Frostbite Quality Verification ensures that Frostbite's content creator workflows are stable, responsive and releasable to our partner game studios. As a member of the team, you will report to the Development Director and will monitor and debug workflow test automation running in multiple CI systems. You will help prioritize which tests are covered in automation and how they are deployed. You will report on their status and ongoing issues. You will work with other quality designers and software engineers in Workflow Quality and other teams across Frostbite and our partners to keep things green, reduce risk, improve processes, and meet release targets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate failures for automated workflow tests — in partnership with feature experts and game teams.
  • Validate new tests locally and in their CI deployment, ensuring they are not flaky in different CI environments.
  • Report status to our team and partners.
  • Define and improve team workflows to comply with our targets, including raising automation and tooling needs and adopting new technologies.
  • Develop skills that help repair broken tests and develop new ones.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD systems.
  • Knowledge of game engine development and quality processes.
  • Bonus if you have some experience with python, C#, or a similar programming language.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $73,200 - $101,700 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
