  • Develop process improvements, introducing new scanning techniques and technologies.

  • Identify hardware/software needs and participate in equipment purchasing decisions.

  • Train team members on tools, and best practices.

  • Participate in mocap production, including Head Mounted Camera (HMC) operations, stage calibration, performer prep, and troubleshooting.

  • Participate in stage and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of on-set experience in 3D scanning or motion capture (games, film, TV, or related industry).

  • Expertise in commercial and proprietary 3D photogrammetry systems.

  • Demonstrated autonomy in managing scanning technology.

  • Experience developing or integrating new scanning processes or technologies.

  • Understanding of 3D artist tools and data storage/IT infrastructure relevant to scanning workflows.

  • Knowledge of human anatomy, movement, and FACS-based direction.

  • Accomplished in capturing textures and character authenticity.

  • Be the technical lead during scanning, especially on-location.

  • Clear and effective collaborator in high-pressure, production environments.

Desirable Experience:

  • Proficiency with mocap systems, timecode, A/V workflows, video formats, and compression.
