Game Production Solutions (GPS) is part of the Game Development Experience (GDX) group at Electronic Arts. Our mission is to empower game creators by building tools, services, and data-driven insights that accelerate game development. We strive to provide internal game teams with best-in-class tooling for creating large games quickly and efficiently.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead our efforts in building Skybuild: a world-class ecosystem for builds and preflights, for a number of EA Games. This role will partner closely with product teams, mentor other engineers, and take ownership of key features in the Skybuild ecosystem.
What You'll Do
Develop key features for Skybuild.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to identify key requirements that support strategic decisions.
Mentor other engineers, supporting their growth and technical development.
Translate product and business needs into clear, actionable engineering requirements.
Ensure solutions follow best practices for reliability, performance, and usability.
Technical Skills
Programming Languages: Go, C#, Powershell, Bash (or similar)
Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD workflows
Build pipelines: One or more of: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, TeamCity or equivalent
Qualifications
Experience working on large-scale Build and Release (example: a AAA game), or a large-scale collaborative platform (example: a DevOps platform).
A comprehensive understanding of the CI / CD space.
8+ years as a Software Developer, with increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience working with public cloud infrastructure (one/more of AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Proficiency in risk management, able to identify potential issues and create mitigation strategies.
Good written and verbal communication skills across a wide area (including documentation, issue tracking tickets and public presentations).
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
Willing to travel to meet with team members and partners in person.
Bachelor's degree in one of Computer Science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
