Who We Are

Game Production Solutions (GPS) is a new division in Creative Technologies at Electronic Arts. GPS supports AI projects, with a focus on Generative AI for game assets. We are looking for a technologist to help us develop services and cloud infrastructure supporting Generative AI projects. You will report to the Technical Director overseeing this department, and work closely with a team of experienced engineers and AI experts.

This position can be hybrid or remote within Canada.


Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture: work with engineers and AI experts on the team to architect backend services to power our generative AI platform, and be accountable for the performance, scalability and security of the architecture. You will also document technical specifications and system designs for future reference.

  • Coding and Debugging: write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code that follows best practices. Troubleshooting and debugging issues are essential.

  • Partnerships and Collaboration: collaborate with Product Managers, Tech Artists, and DevOps/AIOps engineers.

  • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, promoting an environment of learning and improvement. Best practices for coding scalable and secure backend services within the team are expected, and you will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing backend and online services

  • Experience building AI pipelines and products on the Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google)

  • Experience working with containers (like Docker / similar) and fabrics (like Kubernetes / similar.)

If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $115,100 - $161,200 CAD

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
