Description & Requirements

We are a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, innovators and so much more. We believe amazing games and experiences start with teams as diverse as the players and communities we serve. At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination.

About the Team

The Ventures Innovation team at Electronic Arts is dedicated to exploring new opportunities beyond the bounds of traditional gaming; specifically new opportunities across the rapidly evolving industry as well as disruptive forms of sports entertainment.

As part of the Experiences organization, we are a forward-thinking team of innovators, strategists, creatives, engineers, and statisticians. Together, we incubate disruptive products, features, and capabilities that sit outside the core gaming experiences of EA, breaking new ground in interactive experiences and sports entertainment.

The Role

As a Quantitative Researcher in the Ventures Group, you will help find ways to deliver distinct value to audiences around and beyond our games. Applying a forensic approach to problem solving, you will translate research and data into straightforward, actionable insights that guide the early development of products, features and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research and analysis: use a broad range of data sources, tools and techniques to gain a deep understanding of audience behaviours, market trends, emerging technologies and competitive landscapes.

Identify opportunities: deliver insights on how to create audience benefits that also drive business outcomes (scale, time, engagement, revenue). Use these insights to develop briefs for prototypes, guide external partnerships and forecast engagement and revenue opportunities.

Shape early concepts: work with experts across strategy, creative, engineering, operations and analytics to explore and prototype ideas. Provide data informed recommendations, define success metrics and forecast potential outcomes for new concepts.

Provide learnings and recommendations: track pilot initiatives against targets and expectations. Provide actionable learnings and recommendations to optimize performance, evaluate growth potential and assess long-term business value.

Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in research and analysis to inform strategy and product development, ideally in video games, sports or entertainment

  • Advanced skills in reasoning from first principles / dissecting complex problems to find solutions that are not always immediately obvious or intuitive

  • Strong expertise in connecting consumer psychology and market trends with quantifiable business opportunities

  • Proven experience working with diverse cross-functional teams to prototype, develop, and evaluate concepts

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present insights to stakeholders at all levels, adapting to both technical and non-technical audiences
