VP, Head of Mobile Shooters

Who We Are:

At Electronic Arts, we inspire the world to play. From Madden, FC, The Sims, Mass Effect, and Battlefield to Apex Legends and Star Wars, our games connect hundreds of millions of players around the globe. We are a collective of creators, storytellers, technologists, and innovators shaping the future of entertainment. We take bold risks, experiment relentlessly, and dream big—together, we are reimagining play for a connected, digital-first world.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Vice President, Head of Mobile Shooters to define and lead EA’s next generation of mobile shooter experiences. Reporting to the EVP & Group GM of Respawn and Battlefield, this is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for crafting the vision, strategy, and execution of our shooter portfolio on mobile, including expanding existing franchises into new markets and introducing innovative new titles that complement and enhance the product strategies for our shooter category..

This leader will champion modern mobile game development practices: AI driven development and live services, community-driven engagement, cross-platform synergy, and social ecosystems that allow players to not just play, but watch, share, create, and connect.

You will be accountable for driving the long-term success of our mobile shooters, balancing creative ambition with sharp business execution, and delivering unforgettable play experiences to players worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the vision: Define a bold, player-first strategy for EA’s mobile shooter portfolio that contributes to the ecosystem flywheels while fostering new opportunities in emerging genres.
  • Grow Global Markets: Develop strategies around how the IP's can leverage the mobile platform to expand franchise reach into global markets starting with Japan, China and SE Asia.
  • P&L Ownership: Lead portfolio planning, balancing investment across live operations, franchise expansion, and new IP incubation.
  • Champion live services: Build games designed for longevity—cultivating strong communities, ongoing content updates, social/competitive features, and sustainable monetization.
  • Build and inspire teams: Attract, retain, and mentor world-class mobile talent across design, production, product management, and live ops. Create a culture of creativity, data-driven iteration, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate globally: Partner across publishing, regional markets, platform partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative go-to-market strategies and maximize reach.
  • Innovate with intent: Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., cross-play, UGC, streaming, esports, Web3, AI-driven personalization) and ensure EA is positioned as a leader in the evolving mobile shooter ecosystem.
  • Champion inclusivity: Build an environment where diverse voices are heard, and inclusive play experiences are prioritized for a global audience.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven leadership: 15+ years of experience in gaming or entertainment, with a track record of leading large-scale organizations and delivering successful live service products (mobile experience strongly preferred).
  • Portfolio expertise: Demonstrated success managing multiple products, balancing long-term vision with near-term execution.
  • Mobile-first mindset: Deep understanding of the mobile ecosystem, including player behaviors, monetization models, UA, and the global marketplace.
  • Community builder: Passion for fostering strong, engaged communities through social systems, influencer ecosystems, and creator-driven growth.
  • Strategic operator: Ability to balance creativity and business rigor—using data, insights, and player feedback to guide decisions.
  • Inspiring leader: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to motivate high-performing, distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Inclusive and authentic: Committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and building teams that reflect the players we serve.

Who you are:

You are a resilient, forward-thinking leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity and business. You understand the nuances of the mobile ecosystem, the power of player communities, and the complexity of operating live services on a global scale.
