People Experience

Most companies call it HR. But at Electronic Arts, we made the deliberate decision to brand our organization People Experience (PE). PE is not just a play on words: it's a team of cultural stewards who carefully create programs and talent strategies that directly impact our teams' experience. For the better. We enable our People to achieve the most meaningful work of their careers. We're responsible for recruiting the best and most diverse talent on the planet. But it doesn't stop there. We also support their growth through learning programs, internal mobility, affinity group participation, and leadership development. We listen to our employees and dive into analytics to anchor our recommendations and decisions to keep engagement high. Last but not least, we're responsible for a total rewards strategy that incentivizes equitably, provides outstanding benefits, and ensures a safe and inspiring workplace for our teams.

The Challenge Ahead:

We're looking for a People Experience Business Partner with an entrepreneurial mindset, someone who excels in dynamic environments and has experience scaling organizations from early-stage startups to larger growth companies.

You will build what's right for this stage—not the final state—and then reimagining solutions as we grow. You'll be a partner to leaders, a culture shaper, and a builder who knows when to move fast, when to pause, and when to reinvent.

Our People Experience Business Partner for EA Ventures reports to the Vice President, People Experience Business Partner for EA Experiences and drives talent strategy and the People Experience roadmap working with Executives within the EA Ventures team. The Director, PE Business Partner coaches, advises and partners with EA Ventures Sr. Leaders to build their leadership capability, achieve business strategy and develop our talent globally. You will take leadership roles on EA-wide People Experience programs and related project teams. This is a hybrid remote/in-office role requiring at least three days in Redwood City or Vancouver.

About EA Ventures

EA Ventures is at the forefront of shaping the future of sports entertainment. Our mission is to create innovative experiences and engaging products that redefine how fans connect with the sports they love, both in the virtual and real worlds. By applying new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and inventing novel modalities of interaction, we aim to revolutionize the fan experience for the next generation of sports enthusiasts, before and after the live event.

What the PE Business Partner does at EA:

  • Strategic Talent Building for Each Stage Partner with leaders to design talent strategies that align with current needs while anticipating the next phase of growth. Build pragmatic solutions that work today, then adapt them as scale demands.
  • Lead Organizational Evolution Help companies transition from flat, startup structures into more defined teams—without losing agility. Guide leaders through organizational shifts, role clarity, and cultural alignment during rapid change.
  • Cultivate Entrepreneurial Culture & Experience Champion a culture of ownership, creativity, and resilience. Shape high-engagement environments where employees feel empowered to experiment, fail fast, and grow with the business.
  • Coach Leaders as Builders Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing empathy with candor. Help leaders adopt a “test-and-learn” mindset when it comes to building people systems, processes, and practices.
  • Performance & Rewards with Flexibility Design scalable approaches to performance and recognition, with systems that motivate today but can expand tomorrow. Balance compensation, equity, and creative non-monetary rewards that reflect entrepreneurial culture.
  • Organizational Effectiveness Identify structural or cultural barriers early and build lightweight, effective solutions. Partner with centers of excellence (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, Learning, OE) while keeping solutions lean and adaptable.
  • Use Data & Insights as Your Compass Track organizational health with HR metrics. Provide insights that inform decisions but keep a bias toward action over perfection.

To be the next great People Experience, BP at EA:

  • You have 10+ years in HR/People Experience, with time spent in startups and high-growth environments.
  • You've got proven ability to build HR/people infrastructure from scratch, and to reinvent it as organizations scale.
  • You're strong in org design, change leadership, and talent strategy.
  • You have demonstrated ability to balance entrepreneurial scrappiness with strategic scaling.
  • You're comfortable challenging leaders and inspiring them to think differently.
  • You have passion for building cultures that embrace experimentation, agility, and continuous reinvention.
