EA is looking for a Director of People Partnerships to join us as a leader of our PP Sports team across both the USA and Canada. This role will be a hands-on management role, and you will report to the Senior Director, People Partnerships Americas in a hybrid work model.

The Challenge Ahead:  You'll operate as a project leader, coach, manager and business advisor tasked with delivering simple, awesome people experiences.  Your success is rooted in driving process excellence and scaling organizational capabilities in service of our business strategies. You will also be country lead for Canada, ensuring consistency in the application of employment law though collaboration with our legal team and other partners. You will escalate country risk concerns promptly to Sr Director People Partnership Americas or Global VP People Practices.

What the Director, People Partnerships does at EA:

  • Develop partnerships with leaders throughout NA to support multiple people related activities that aid in the delivery of business strategy.
  • Lead a BU designated team of People Partner professionals, providing leadership and oversight as they prepare for, manage and communicate our main cyclical programs.
  • Support the ongoing development and career progression of team members through coaching, performance feedback and career discussion.
  • Counsel business leaders to improve individual and team capabilities through identification of training and skills development opportunities.
  • Analyze workforce data across the BU or site to improve the worker experience by assessing gaps and opportunities and providing insights to help inform decisions.  
  • Develop the capacity and readiness for change across the business/region and facilitate change efforts for clients, including coaching management on planning and communications.
  • Work with managers, employees and COEs to respond to employee relations issues and develop overall capability to foster a healthy, cohesive, collaborative, fun and fair workplace.

Our Director, People Partnerships at EA also needs:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field combined with over 12 years’ progressive experience as an HR business partner.
  • Project management and change expertise and demonstrated ability to collaborate and implement region wide projects.
  • Comfort in speaking truth to power. 
  • Experience using data and data-driven insights to support the business.
  • Experience building HR solutions based on best practices, and an astute business member who employs solutions that achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Experience selecting and developing talent.
  • An understanding of regional/local employment legislation and regional employment customs and practices.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $151,800 - $208,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
