Software Engineer II
Frostbite is EA's state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine. Our global team develops creative engine features and modern tools that let our game makers create stunning games.
We are looking for an accomplished C++ Software Engineer to join the Foundation Team. The team is responsible for the lowest-level systems in the Frostbite engine, working with team members in Australia and North America. This is a hybrid remote/in-office role. As a Software Engineer reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager on the Foundation team, you will:
Responsibilities:
You will build testable, performant, and maintainable low-level systems used by other Frostbite or EA partner teams
You will participate in code reviews and promoting usage of coding best practices.
You will collaborate with the Frostbite engine and Frostbite game teams to develop new systems and improve existing engine modules that are shared across EA
You will support internal users of our engine
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience
Proficiency in C++
5+ years of developing Systems on multiple platforms (e.g., Windows, Consoles and Mobile)
Multithreaded programming and debugging experience
Understand memory management, multiple processor use, and runtime optimisation
Familiarity with Source Control (Perforce, SVN, GIT)
