WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Technical Interface Designer (TID) bridges the gap between artists and software engineers by combining artistic skills with programming expertise. As part of the Experience Design Team (XD), you'll collaborate closely with designers, producers, and engineers. You'll have the unique opportunity to establish best practices and drive innovation. You'll work with both legacy and new UI technologies to create exceptional experiences for FC players. Join us to shape the future of gaming interfaces, balancing legacy systems with pioneering advancements in UI design with EA’s frostbite engine.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Maintain best practices in code and design implementation.

  • You'll seamlessly implement motion demos into the game, focusing on UI animations and effects using our proprietary game engine to enhance the front end and HUD for an immersive player experience.

  • Apply proper UI optimization techniques in design assets.

  • Quickly identify and debug art and animation related issues

  • Collaborate closely with experience design, production, and engineering to bridge design vision and implementation, ensuring alignment from concept to execution.

  • Document tools and workflows on the internal Wiki.

  • High fidelity rapid prototyping for UX evaluation.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

  • 3+ years of technical skills, and ability to quickly learn new proprietary production tools and workflow.

  • Adept or be able to quickly learn various programming techniques and design patterns such as Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM).

  • Familiar with markup languages such as XML.

  • 1+ years of experience creating 3D motion graphics or interfaces using game engines like Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines.

  • Experience utilizing the Entity Component System (ECS) pattern in engines such as Unity.

  • Good understanding of user experience, design patterns and user interactions with digital products. Ability to advocate delightful experiences.

  • Skilled in visual animation and programming, with the ability to create dynamic and engaging visual content through scripting and animation techniques.
