At Ripple Effect, we are a studio where you can do the best work of your career. Above all, we’re driven by quality - in the games we create, and in the studio we’ve built.

Our values: We believe every day our work is better than it was the day before. We iterate and support our devs as they grow in their crafts and push one another toward mastery. We believe in operating with integrity, and creating a diverse team where everyone’s ideas are heard.

With studios located in Los Angeles and Vancouver, Ripple Effect has been dedicated to the Battlefield franchise since our founding as DICE LA in 2013. We created Battlefield 2042’s Portal, and have supported DICE on every Battlefield game since Battlefield 4.

Now, we’re looking for new team members to help us create the next Battlefield.

The Role: We are looking for an experienced Production Line Director to join us in our studio’s mission to create amazing games and experiences, and to elevate ourselves and our craft. We seek someone who is passionate about growing great people. You will mentor and coach a wide range of Production staff, ranging from junior to very senior Production Directors. You will partner effectively with the Studio Production Director to lead the Production team. This role focuses on the people of the Production team, to grow their long-term skills and identify and achieve career goals. You will also partner with other craft team Line Managers to create and drive studio initiatives, and help develop and enhance our studio high performance culture.

This role will report to the Studio Line Director.

We are considering on-site and hybrid working options.

What skills do we look for?

  • Coaching, mentoring, and career development for Production Directors and Managers, through 1-on-1’s and other recurring interactions
  • Provide regular feedback that supports individual growth
  • Resource and talent planning for Production team
  • Performance and salary reviews
  • Identify talent opportunities for the Production team and drive recruitment
  • Partner with Line Managers from other crafts to grow and develop Ripple Effect’s Line Organization

We believe that you have experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in game development, and have led a Production team through a fully shipped game.
  • Experience both as an individual contributor and a manager, including managing a range of Production Staff, encompassing both junior and senior talent
  • A passion for mentoring and growing others
