Sr. Manager, Anti-Cheat Engineering

The Secure Product Engineering & Anti-Cheat Response team ensures that all EA products are developed with the security and gameplay integrity of our players as a top priority. We partner with both platform development teams and game studios to safeguard the gameplay experience for millions of players across the globe.
You will be a member of the Secure Product Engineering & Anti-Cheat Response team, reporting to the Director of Anti-Cheat Engineering. We are looking for an experienced engineering manager who is passionate about mentoring and growing their team, driving software quality and delivering best-in-class anti-cheat solutions..
You will provide operational leadership for a full stack Anti-Cheat Engineering team, encompassing multiple areas of expertise, including client engineering, backend engineering, infrastructure management, and Windows kernel development.
You will partner closely with other teams facilitating the success of anti-cheat efforts within Electronic Arts, including data analysts, data scientists, reverse engineers, and members of our integrated game studios.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be
Manage planning in all development stages, from designing and scoping a new feature to seeing it ship to production.
Scope and Capacity Management across the team.
Partner with technical subject matter experts and program and product managers to create scenarios and guide the decision-making process for our anti-cheat product.
Improve operational effectiveness of team effort by assessing current practices, incorporating new strategies, and increasing predictability.
Effective change management. Change is welcomed as an opportunity to drive strategic, business-impacting change.
Build connections across the business and through these relationships increase EA's security posture.
Identify resourcing needs, guide and develop changes to talent, skills and practices to accomplish operational and strategic goals.
Coordinate talent management and succession planning.
Monitor and evolve talent skill mix, using training and active recruitment plans and strategies.
Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion
Qualifications
Experienced people manager
Experienced leading teams of engineers
Experience managing work in an Agile environment
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and familiarity with maintaining a live service solution.
Experience working with or familiarity with the external security researching community, game cheat community, anti-cheat technologies, or identifying and using cheats in games
Successful when managing a team of remote individual contributors
Bonus
Experience in Android/iOS cheating space
Experience with obfuscation/encryption technologies
Experience with anti-tamper technologies
