You’ll champion best practices in reporting, create compelling visualizations of product quality, and collaborate closely with teams across the studio to ensure The Sims delivers exceptional experiences to players worldwide.

Responsibilities :

  • Data Storytelling: Translate complex data into clear, accessible reports and dashboards for the development team, highlighting current quality status and trends across multiple Sims products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as an EQ representative on cross-discipline teams, collaborating with user research, analytics, QA, and development to align on product quality goals and methods.
  • Player-Centric Focus: Leverage user research findings, community outreach, telemetry, and player feedback to inform decision-makers and prioritize improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Champion and implement reporting best practices and new methods for capturing the player experience, continuously evolving our measurement standards.
  • Team Engagement: Participate in sprint reviews, data validation meetings, and milestone check-ins, providing clear communication and actionable insights.
  • Playtest & Research Support: Help plan, conduct, and analyze internal playtests and liaise with user research on external playtests, ensuring feedback is meaningfully integrated.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Deliver insights and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders, driving consensus on quality issues and opportunities.

Qualifications :

  • Experience in game or software development, with a focus on QA, user research, or player insights
  • Strong ability to synthesize and present data using dashboards, data visualizations, or reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Proven ability to interpret player feedback and game telemetry to identify quality issues and player needs
  • Solid understanding of core gameplay pillars and systems, with the ability to articulate game concepts and user experience trends clearly
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and best practices (preferably in Agile environments)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to break down and convey complex findings to partners at all levels
  • A love for video games! (Especially the Sims!)

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with project management and QA tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, DevTest, TestRail, Perforce, Git)
