Camera / Presentation Designer


* This is a hybrid role working within our Vancouver/Burnaby studio 3x per week. 

**A portfolio of work is required for consideration

Role Summary

The Camera / Presentation Designer crafts visually engaging, emotionally impactful, presentation moments that support the game's overall presentation vision. Working under the guidance of the Experience Design Director and across multiple teams. You will focus on shot construction, sequencing, pacing, atmosphere, and presentation implementation across celebrations, intros, social spaces, progression moments, and player-expression systems.

You will focus on presentation craft and execution and does not own gameplay systems, product direction, feature prioritization, or milestone planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Create presentation moments across celebrations, intros, event sequences, social spaces, and progression experiences

  • Design dynamic, immersive presentation beats

  • Build visually engaging shot sequences following advanced camera and editorial principles

  • Develop transitions between gameplay and presentation moments that maintain immersion and flow

  • Design presentation packages supporting player-generated content and customization systems

  • Apply cinematography fundamentals including framing, composition, motion, pacing, and visual continuity

  • Collaborate with Lighting, Audio, VFX, Animation, and Design teams to create cohesive emotional experiences

  • Maintain visual consistency across presentation systems and game modes

  • Iterate quickly within engine using sequencing and presentation tools

  • Participate in reviews, feedback sessions, and polish evaluations to improve overall presentation quality

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in game development, cinematics, broadcast, editorial, presentation design, and related visual storytelling fields.

  • A Portfolio showcases previous work in these areas, demonstrating an understanding of cinematography, composition, pacing, editing, shot continuity, and emotional storytelling.

  • Experience creating presentation or cinematic content within modern game engines

  • Collaborate across Design, Audio, VFX, Animation, Lighting, and Engineering teams

  • Comfortable iterating quickly within production and technical constraints

  • Experience with sports presentation, broadcast-style entertainment, or cinematic game experiences

  • Unreal Engine experience

  • Experience supporting player-expression or UGC systems


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$92,900 - $129,200 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
