Creative & Development Technology shapes the future of interactive entertainment by harnessing data and technology to empower the creation of the next generation of games. We are a collection of six teams, Frostbite, Data & Analytics, Creative Technologies, Technology Growth Strategy, Creative Direction, and Operations.
We evolve our games and how players interact with them by using the power of data to continuously uncover insights to deliver an even better player experience. We strive to be the best-in-class AI team in the gaming industry by maximizing the fun for EA players through easier deployment of AI-driven solutions for game makers. Our insights are ubiquitous through autonomous analytics.
We’re looking for a Data Governance Co-op to join our world-class, paid internship experience in May 2025 (4 months). This program offers students the ability to explore career opportunities and gain insight into the gaming industry. You’ll work with real teams on impactful projects alongside industry veterans, building hands-on experience with data governance tools, research methodologies, and program management processes—all while developing leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to a Data Governance Maturity Assessment
Research industry frameworks (e.g., DMBoK) to define key maturity benchmarks for data governance at EA.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft assessment questions and scoring criteria.
Consolidate findings into a roadmap that helps EA teams progress from basic to more advanced levels of data governance.
Support the Development of a Foundational Data Governance Training Course
Identify core topics such as data quality, stewardship, cataloging, and master data management that every EA employee should understand.
Design learning objectives and interactive course materials (e.g., quizzes, scenario-based exercises).
Partner with Learning & Development to pilot, refine, and measure the course’s effectiveness across EA.
Qualifications:
You must return to school for one full semester following your Co-op term with EA.
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Business Administration (with a data focus), or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, including interviewing stakeholders, gathering requirements, and documenting findings clearly.
Enthusiasm for learning about data governance, data management, and enterprise data practices.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Basic familiarity with data analysis (such as simple SQL queries) is a plus, though not the primary focus of this role.
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.),qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º 65,000 - $70,000 CAN Salary
The pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).

Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
