As a Lead UI Engineer at EA, you are accountable for the technical design and implementation of user interfaces. You create project roadmaps and plan sprints, ensuring work is prioritized to leverage your team's skills effectively. Utilizing your UI development experience, you guide your team in building robust, data-driven interfaces aligned with project goals. You collaborate across disciplines for iterative UI development and engage in hands-on work as needed.
Your Responsibilities:
Ownership of the development and integration of core architecture, data models and frameworks for UI.
Design, implement, and document technology and strategies to help advance UI discipline.
Work with the Interface Designer to lay out and create screens and components.
Define and create automated UI testing strategies and practices.
Refine tools and UI creation workflows.
Technical oversight of your team members' contributions.
Lead, share domain knowledge and mentor engineers within the team.
Your Qualifications
8+ years experience in software development in C++ and C# with a focus on UI.
Experience developing games professionally and shipping titles with a high level of ownership of UI.
Knowledge of existing UI technologies, best practices and tooling.
Experience with Visual Studio and knowledge of the debugging tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pluses:
Previous development of UI for use in live service games.
Use of game development engines (Unreal, Unity).
Experience with content creation pipelines (deployment to live services).
Advanced debugging skills applicable to UI implementations in a networked environment.
