The Role
Join EA's Create Audio team as an Audio Artist and become a key player in crafting award-winning soundscapes for groundbreaking projects. This temporary, full-time role offers collaboration with seasoned audio professionals and core game teams, renowned for titles like Star Wars Squadrons and the Dead Space remake. Dive into the sound design for a Marvel Iron Man game, blending detailed, grounded sounds with imaginative sci-fi elements. What We Are Looking For (Responsibilities)
Create Quality Audio: Design assets that elevate the game experience.
Edit and Implement Audio: Utilize audio tools and game engines to edit and implement audio assets.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with Design, Animation, VFX, and Audio Directors to ensure that audio aligns with the game vision.
Adhere to Timelines: Submit final audio files by the planned deadlines.
Audio Post-Production: Provide crafted audio for scripted events to support the narrative experience.
Troubleshoot Bugs: Identify and resolve audio-related issues within the game.
Clear Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members and external partners.
Ownership: Drive the audio content creation and implementation for your missions or other features.
Community Engagement: Contribute to the audio community across EA Studios by encouraging collaboration and sharing expertise.
What You Bring (Requirements)
4-5 years of game audio implementation and sound design experience
Artistic, creative, and technical sensibilities
Proficiency in game audio authoring tools and pipelines (e.g., Wwise)
Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal)
Expertise in at least one major DAW (e.g., ProTools, Reaper)
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Perforce)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude
Comfortable with modern audio equipment and recording techniques
Additional technical skills with Reaper Workflows, Python scripting, and Unreal workflows are a plus
