Frostbite is EA's proprietary game engine. Its versatile technology power creation on some of the world's most iconic and visually stunning games, including titles from EA Sports and Battlefield. Frostbite provides a unified platform that empowers developers to create hyper-realistic worlds, intricate gameplay, and lifelike animations with unmatched speed and quality.

The Role

As a Master's thesis student in our team, you will develop a project an area where Frostbite's engineering efficiency can be multiplied with generative AI, agents, or context engineering. You will also gain an understanding of what it's like to work at EA.

Responsibilities

  • You will investigate and prototype applying GenAI solutions to Frostbite's development process.
  • You will review designs and implementations with other software engineers and will validate your results using a representative dataset.
  • You will report to an engineering manager, attend meetings, present progress information and write a final report.

Requirements

  • You are pursuing a MsC. in Computer Science, or a related field, in Sweden.
  • You have experience with Python, C# or C++.
  • You understand software development processes.
  • You have an interest in applying GenAI to software engineering (e.g. GitHub CoPilot).

Bonus but not mandatory

  • You have knowledge of AI concepts like knowledge graphs, vector databases, context engineering, MCP servers, LangChain, or RAG.
  • You understand software quality, test automation, or CI/CD.
