Reporting to the Development Director, you will drive quality for the Frostbite Rendering RenderCore team, supporting low-level platform rendering functionality across multiple hardware platforms. You will own bug triage, testing strategy, release quality, and quality initiatives for the team you are embedded in. This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver.

The Team

The RenderCore team is part of Frostbite Rendering and focuses on low-level platform code that enables rendering features across multiple platforms. Our mission is to understand current game team needs and deliver high stability, performance, and scalability across platforms.

This is a distributed team across North America and Europe, with collaboration with a team in Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • You'll plan, execute, and report on the testing of new features and functionalities in close collaboration with the development team (manual and automated test suites).

  • You'll triage Bugs (assign correctly, verify reproducibility).

  • You'll provide QA sign-off and consultation during feature planning and delivery.

  • You'll contribute to documentation and quality best practices across the team.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years Quality Assurance experience.

  • Familiarity with 1st part hardware tools, and using them to capture GPU frame data to assist in the triage and debugging of issues.

  • Experience testing complex technical systems or platform-specific functionality.

  • Experience working with distributed teams.

  • Familiarity with Jira or other project tracking solutions for managing quality data and reporting.

  • Familiarity with source control and development tools (e.g., Perforce, Visual Studio).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$91,100 - $126,900 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
