Role Overview
Join EA's Create Audio team and immerse yourself in creating world-class soundscapes for ambitious projects. Bring your experience in video games, technical expertise, and creative flair to our inclusive culture. Showcase your skills and contribute to the next season of Battlefield 6.
Reporting into the VO Director, this is a temporary, full-time role, based in a, hybrid environment at our Vancouver location, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.
Responsibilities
Organise and update script documents, design documents, and voice over .wav files.
Participate in table reads with Narrative and VO Designers.
Occasionally participate in voice over recording and performance capture sessions, assisting with note taking, assisting the recording engineer in navigating scripts, updating scripts, or providing reference material or in-game context.
Edit, process, implement and mix placeholder and final VO content for in game playback.
Contribute with creative and technical solutions to improve VO in our games.
Test and Quality Control of in-game audio assets
Work together with other disciplines to ensure good VO implementation and workflow.
Work together with Localization to ensure cohesion between English and localised languages.
Requirements
3 years experience in video games development
Knowledge of audio theory and audio editing practices; includes knowledge of waveform editing, equalisation, compression, mixing, and plug-ins.
Proficient in modern studio hardware, recording techniques, and software such as Reaper, ProTools, Sound Forge, Waves plugins, RX
Knowledge or experience with 3D editors or any visual scripting programme (such as Reaktor, Max, Pure Data, UDK).
Knowledge or experience with audio game development tools, such as Wwise, FMOD, or other proprietary Editors.
